At the end of summer, the workshopx team will be joined by award-winning photojournalist Alex Masi to hold an intensive, week-long documentary photography workshop in Krakow, Poland. This will be a great opportunity to gain essential experience while working on a real-life assignment and learn how to efficiently manage your future long-term projects.

Alex Masi started his professional career in 2006. Extensively investigating and photographing humanitarian and socio-environmental issues in South Asia and the Middle East, he quickly became one of the most active, renowned and awarded photojournalists of the young generation.

Now he’s teaming up with the workshopx photographers and editors to work alongside you, sharing his knowledge and experience to help you create a complete documentary story against the inspirational background of Krakow and the peculiarities of daily life in Eastern European. During the workshop he will also tell you how to manage long-term projects and prepare your submissions for quality contests and grants.

This will be a very intensive week of shooting, on-the-ground researching and photo editing that will take your documentary photography skills to a higher level. It will make you a more conscious photographic storyteller, one who is well-equipped for future field work and ready to handle the ever-changing situations and difficulties that photographers come across when working on a project. You will leave Krakow as a better photographer.
